The GE report, published on 26 March 2018, features Top Data Science as a top-notch AI start-up in innovating healthcare. Our collaboration with GE Healthcare and Helsinki University Central Hospital to deploy AI solutions to assist Finnish healthcare professionals has produced promising results.
Our machine learning solution assists clinicians to notice unseen medical patterns and improve diagnostic accuracy. One of those solutions is developed for computer-aided diagnosis of prostate cancer which is one of the most prevalent cancers in males in Western countries, including Finland. In addition, our second collaboration to develop machine learning solutions to optimize patient care in intensive care units is mentioned as well. Our algorithms were shown to be effective in modeling the patient condition by analyzing physiological measurements such as heart rate, temperature, and blood pressure. The mentioned solution helps to identify early patterns of condition deterioration as well as identifying stable patients who can be discharged in a timely manner, decreasing healthcare costs and burden from the clinical staff.
Timo Heikkinen, our CEO & Co-founder, stated in the GE reports that Top Data Science would like to retain the good partnerships with GE Healthcare and Helsinki University Central Hospital to co-develop similar technologies.
