We are excited to introduce our new privacy-preserving AI video analysis solution. It can determine the number of visitors, their distances, and density information at event venues, shopping malls, restaurants, offices, and other public places from existing camera images.
The purpose of this practical and easy-to-use solution is to help real estate and business owners in improving social distancing awareness and meeting the official instructions and conditions without compromising privacy.
The solution is flexible and can be easily extended with new features, such as mask detection or different congestion and people flow situations. It can also be adapted to changing detection requirements. Furthermore, the system can actively send alerts when the number of visitors in an area has exceeded a certain threshold number.
The solution offers potential cost savings related to the monitoring work, which is required to keep track of the number of visitors and the congestion situation. It will actively improve and guide the operation of all personnel and security staff.
Traditional image and face recognition techniques use detection-based approaches for identifying people. In contrast, our solution uses novel image-to-image learning and 2D density probability predictions, ensuring privacy without identifying individuals.
The solution will be used by a leading Japanese real estate development company at their event venue in Tokyo.
The solution is a co-development between Top Data Science, our parent company Morpho Inc. and Secure Co., Ltd, one of the leading Japanese security camera service and technology companies.
